St. Anne’s Degree College for Women was established in the year 2005 and administered by Society of sisters of St.Anne-Madras with a vision “to provide humanizing and liberalizing education so as to form responsible citizens who in solidarity with others create a just society”. The Foundress Servant of God Mother Thatipatri Gnanamma is a visionary and missionary who dedicated her life to enlighten and educate poor young girls in 1863 by starting an educational institutions exclusively for girls.

The Society of Sisters of St. Anne, Madras, has a long history of over 156 years in the field of education. The secret of the success in education is our proud historical legacy from where we derive our strength to face the challenges and grab the opportunities. Over the years, We have been marching ahead with new ventures and innovations in tune with the changing times.

The College is affiliated to Bengaluru Central University and offers undergraduate programmes in Arts, Science, Computer Applications, Commerce and Management. It provides a vibrant student life, co-curricular and extracurricular activities and campus placement to the students which make this institution stand in par with the other institutions.

Since a humble beginning in 2005, there has been no looking back and every year the college crosses new milestones. In 2016 the college was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with B Grade and 2.52/4 CGPA. The College offers post-graduation programmes from 2017 onwards.

Orientation Programmes

At the beginning of the academic year an orientation programme is conducted for all the students for one day to introduce them the facilities and services offered and give a focus on the vision and Mission of the institution.

Conferences, Seminars and workshops to advance learning

Apart from the regular curriculum, we take different efforts to cultivate learning and understanding in the students. Special seminars are organised with the help of resource persons in the following diverse fields: Ecology Awareness Programmes, Women’s Rights, Personality Development Workshops, Guest Lectures and Counseling.

Computer Education

Computer education is part of our curriculum to keep students abreast with the developments in information technology. Students across all streams are given computer aided programmes to benefit them as they step out into the world which has become techno-savvy.
