Bachelor of Science (Rehabilitation Science) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate course which focuses on Health sciences and Humanities. The Department of Rehabilitation Science was established in the year 2009 with intake of 9 students and 2 Teaching Faculties.
Rehabilitation science is the systematic study of promoting, maintaining, or restoring human function, mobility, occupation, and well-being. With the rapid growth in need for Therapists and Rehabilitation professionals all over the world, brings a huge demand for Rehabilitation Professionals.
The course guides the students to acquire knowledge, develop skills to enable them to work with organizations catering to the needs of children and persons with disabilities, mental health and any social or developmental sector.
The department organizes Guest lectures, Workshops, Internships, Seminars, Industrial/Educational trips, Visit to Hospitals, Special schools, Centre for differently abled to enrich the students in practical aspects pertaining to the service of persons with disabilities.

- To prepare students to be skilled in critical self-reflection, in working with Individuals, Families, Groups, and Communities and to enhance the well-being of the people of India and around the world.

![]() Ms. Shobha brings nearly two decades of diverse professional experience, including corporate sector in the field of Investment, Risk Management and has also worked as a content developer for a leading microfinance organization. Driven by a deep intellectual curiosity about fundamental questions of existence, metaphysics, values, ethics, and society, she pursued higher education in Philosophy and Sociology. Her academic interests led her to a career in teaching and has been associated with St. Anne’s Degree College for Women since 2018. Her excellent communication skills enable her to engage effectively with students from various academic backgrounds. She fosters a learning environment by encouraging students to think critically and reflect deeply on diverse subject matters. Passionate about her field, she enjoys teaching interdisciplinary subjects through Socio-Philosophical approach that integrates perspectives from both Philosophy and Sociology. |
